In 1967, J. R. Rahey’s opened its first store in Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia. It had one objective: To provide a higher standard in furniture and appliances for the local consumer. Furniture brands that were usually sold only in large cities were now available locally.
Over the years, we’ve grown – expanding our selection and offering our exceptional service and selection to three additional locations – Sydney River, Antigonish, New Glasgow – and the original Sydney Mines location.
To answer the demand for wider selection of Canada’s best name brands, J. R. Rahey’s added The La-Z-Boy Furniture Studio, The Frigidaire Appliance Store, and The Simmons Mattress Gallery to the Sydney River and New Glasgow locations, and the Broyhill Furniture Showroom in the Antigonish location.
Our success depends on your satisfaction.
